Buddy was a businessman and owner of Cloudt's Food Store and Village Kitchen on Peachtree Road in Atlanta for over 30 years until the late 1970's. For many years the store was a popular Atlanta landmark with customers who came from far and wide. He developed a wholesale pound cake business where he supervised the baking of "Buddy Cloudt's All Butter Pound Cakes" from his own secret recipe which was a favorite among thousands. When most people would have retired, Buddy founded another business, Cloudt's Security Services where he installed and managed security systems for many homes and businesses not only in the Atlanta area but across the southeast.
Buddy was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and was an expert marksman who rarely missed his mark. Deer hunting was his passion which he planned for all year. He especially enjoyed numerous trips to Wyoming where he was successful in harvesting trophy deer, antelope, elk and moose.
He enjoyed playing practical jokes and telling all sorts of stories and tales to the delight of all who knew him. He was a man of great brilliance with extreme mathematical, electrical and chemical abilities. There was rarely a problem in these fields that he couldn't solve.
Buddy's character was one of integrity, generosity and honesty with a love for his family beyond measure. His faith in Jesus Christ sustained him throughout his life.
