Moses Eugene Cox, Jr, (Mose) 90, of Decatur, died Friday, June 7, 2013. He was born May 25, 1923, to the late Moses Eugene Cox and Gladys Watson Cox. Born in College Station, Texas, he lived most of his life in Decatur. Mr. Cox served his country during WWII in the U. S. Army, and afterwards remained in the reserves until he obtained the rank of Captain in the Corps of Engineers. He retired in 1988 from Delta Airlines after over 30 years of service. He was a long time member of Decatur United Methodist Church and Fellowship Class. Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Ellington Cox. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Carol Anne and Dave Duckwall of Roswell; son and daughter-in-law, David and Diane Cox of Stockbridge; four grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Jean Cox. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Wednensday, June 12, 2013 at Decatur Cemetery. A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
