Mozelle Boggs

Mozelle Boggs, 89, passed peacefully to be with her Lord on October 13, 2018. She was born July 17, 1929 in Murphy, NC. Her family moved to Marietta, GA where she grew up, 6th of 9 siblings. She went to business school and worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for several companies. Mo loved gardening and kept beautiful plants and flowers. Following the death of her husband of 30 years, Jack M. Boggs, she moved from Panama City, FL to Decatur, GA to be near her daughter. She was an active member of Decatur Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the Chancel Choir for many years. For 50 Years, wherever she lived, Mo was a faithful member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and treasured those friendships.
She is survived by her daughter, Lonelle Moss Ripley, (Martin), granddaughters Marti Ripley Aaron, (Bill), Julie Ripley Evans, (Chris), 4 adored great-grandchildren: Ruth and William Aaron and Grady and Charles Evans, Sister, Emma Lou Simpson, many beloved nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated Nov. 20th at 2:00 pm at Decatur Presbyterian Church, Decatur, GA with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Decatur Presbyterian Church Music Dept. A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
