Mrs. Brigadier Katherine Millsap

Mrs. Brigadier Katherine Ellen Millsap, Retired Salvation Army Officer was "PROMOTED TO GLORY" after a short illness on Monday, April 30, 2007.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ralph Millsap.  She is survived by two daughters, Judy Ward (Roy), Kathy Ciezkowski (Joe); son, Ralph Millsap, Jr.; grandchildren, Jennifer Primm (Craig), Jason Ward (Michelle), Heather Whitfield (Burl), Bethany Hilliard (Jonathan); and seven great grandchildren.  Brigadier Millsap served along with her husband for 36 years in the southern states of The Salvation Army.  The majority of her service was spent in the caring ministry of hospital visitation including recognition for meritorious service in VA hospitals.  They retired in 1974 in Atlanta.  In retirement, she has remained active in Women's Ministries.  Funeral services will be on Friday, May 4, 2007 in Atlanta, Georgia at the Salvation Army Temple Corps, 2090 North Druid Hills Rd., N.E., Atlanta at 10:00 A.M. The body will lie in state at 9:30 A.M. at The Salvation Army Temple Corps. Visitation will be from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, 2773 N.
