Ruth Morton Estes passed away at Emory University Hospital on August 15, 2005, after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease. Born on April 17, 1920, in East Orange, New Jersey, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William B. Estes, Jr., in 2003. Ruth Estes' full and active life revolved in large part from friendships gained through the couple's long membership in the Charles Hope Sunday school class at Grace Methodist Church. She delighted in the accomplishments of her two sons, Bill and Bob, and was a familiar face at high school athletic events in which they competed. Her latter years were devoted to the young lives of her grandchildren and her genuine love for her daughters-in-law, Susan and Sarah, whom she often said completed her sons' lives. Ruth Estes is survived by sons, William B. Estes, III and Robert B. Estes. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Friday, August 19, at Grace United Methodist Church in Atlanta. A. S.
