Muriel Effie Cronan Tribble 89, a resident of Ellenwood, Georgia (previous resident of Decatur, Georgia) died at the local hospital on Wednesday, August 7, 2009. She was born on December 28, 1919. She was the oldest living member of the church at Decatur Heights. She was previously employed by National Service Industries and later by Belks. She is survived by two of her sisters, Mrs. Hazel Beasley of Raleigh, NC and Mrs. Sarah Burdette of Ellenwood, GA and seventeen nieces and nephews. Only two weeks prior to her death, she enjoyed a long weekend at Panama City Beach, FL with her three nieces Laura Phillips, WV, Barbara Thompson, OR and Melanie Nittolo, GA. A funeral service will held on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 2:00 pm at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, Decatur, Georgia with Pastor Alan Smith officiating. Following the service the burial will be at Melwood Cemetery. The viewing with be held on Sunday, August 9th, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. She was loved and cherished by all her family and friends. A. S. Turner & Sons
