Muriel Antoinette (Lindaas) Enzmann, 85, died peacefully Sunday, May 10, 2009. Born to Olaves & Ella Lindaas, the middle child between Norris (1922- ) and Ronnie (1925-1966) in Mayville, ND. She attended the University of Minnesota Minneapolis campus and married Donald Keith Enzmann in 1947. The couple moved to International Falls, MN and started a family. Together they raised four children, Mark, Dana, Marnee (1959-2000) and Dee. Over the years Muriel lived in Denver, CO, Minneapolis, MN, International Falls, MN, Lynchburg, VA, Raleigh, NC, Atlanta, GA, Blairsville, GA, Columbus, OH, Dunedin, FL, and Palm Harbor, FL. She was a great bird lover, compassionate mother, loved the great outdoors, her alma mater University of Minnesota, and really enjoyed her time with her sorority sisters of Beta Sigma Psi. Muriel was a fantastic dancer, a tremendous bowler, excelled in Golf and Tennis. She was active civically, volunteering her time for the Chamber of Commerce, the USO, The International Lion's Club and the Presbyterian Church. Socially, she chaired Leading Ladies for Ruth Eckerd Hall, University of Minnesota Alumnae Association, and GE Elfuns & Retirees. Muriel loved playing bridge, living on or near the waters edge be it ocean or lake, gardening and spending time outdoors. She was kind hearted, witty and good natured. Don and Muriel enjoyed traveling all across the United States and to many different countries, either for Lion's Club meetings or for recreation. She was always ready for a new road trip or going to visit family in the mid-west. In her later years she preferred to stay in Blairsville enjoying the water and the bird life. Muriel is survived by husband of 62 years, Don (Gainesville, GA), Mark and wife, Judy of Blairsville, GA, Dana and wife Melissa (Gainesville, GA), Dee and partner, Janea of Atlanta, GA, grandchildren, Natalie and Keith (Gainesville, GA), brother, Norris Lindaas (Minneapolis, MN), nephew, Allen Lindaas (Bloomington, MN), and niece, Dianne Richardson (Minneapolis, MN). Service to be held Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 3 PM at Grace Presbyterian Church, 1700 Young Harris Hwy., Blairsville, GA 30514-0105, (706) 745-3653, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, become an organ donor, give to the Audubon Society, the International Lion’s Club, your local hospice, or the Parkinson' s Foundation, all terrific causes that need donations in her name; a loving woman becomes an angel.
