Nancy Bangs Clegg

Nancy Bangs Clegg of Woodstock, Georgia died Thursday, June 25, 2015. She was born October 30, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a 1968 graduate of Clarkston High School and worked for a number of years in the Mortgage Banking Department of Decatur Federal Savings and Loan. She was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Frank G. Clegg; her father, Ernest C. Bangs and brother, Alan P. Bangs. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Bangs of Marietta, formerly of Clarkston; sister, Clare Bangs of Roswell; uncle, Ed Bangs of Decatur; sister-in-law, Beth Bangs of Dacula; nephew, Josh Bangs of Atlanta; niece, Katie (Michael) Barrett of Dacula; great-nephew, Harrison Barrett; and many loving cousins and friends. Our family gives special thanks to her friends and caregivers Kay Saunders, Rosia Wright, Larue Carruth, Mel Bucher and Aileen Pritchard who loved her dearly. There will be a memorial celebration for our dearest Nancy on Friday July 31, 2015 at 2pm at the Violette Restaurant, 2948 Clairmont Rd. NE, Atlanta, Ga. 30329.
