Nancy Ferrell

Nancy Ferrell went home to be with the Lord on December 24, 2011. She will be missed by many, including her children and grand-children. Nancy lived in Atlanta for the past seven years, having come from Charlotte, NC where she married and raised her family. She was preceded in death by her husband William Edward Ferrell III. She is survived by her son Tommy Ferrell and daughter-in-law Elyse Sanderlin Ferrell (with three grandsons Garrison, Joseph, and Bailey); daughter Jill Ferrell Yaple and son-in-law Sean Yaple and their son Liam; and a sister Judy Smith of Texas. Nancy retired from the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System where she taught second grade for many years. She was a children's Sunday School teacher at the First Baptist Church of Charlotte prior to moving to Atlanta. Nancy was a friend to many at Briarlake Baptist Church and the surrounding community over the past seven years. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2011, at Briarlake Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Dr. Tommy Ferrell and Rev. Jim Hersh officiating. The family will be receiving friends at A.S Turner & Sons Funeral Home from 6-8pm Thursday night December 29. Interment will be in Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC at 3 PM Saturday, December 31, 2011 with a gathering of friends afterward at Talents Funeral Home across from the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their sympathy may send contributions to Briarlake Baptist Church, Decatur, GA.
