Mrs. Nancy P. Chalmers, 71, of Braselton died Saturday, August 1, 2009. Mrs. Chalmers received her Associate’s Degree from Mars Hill College, her BS Degree from Mercer University and her Masters Degree from the University of Georgia. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Braselton. Mrs. Chalmers was a retired Program Analyst from CDC in Atlanta, where she worked for over 20 years. She was a beloved wife, mother and Nana and made a positive difference in the lives of all those she touched. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Rev. Jack Chalmers; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Phil Campbell of Snellville, Kim and Kevin King of Hoschton; son, Mark Chalmers of Braselton; son and daughter-in-law, David and Kathy Chalmers of Grayson; grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Charlene, Chris, Mary, Jack, Denver, Nancy and David; and brother and sister-in-law, Maurice and Connie Pridmore of Greenwood, SC. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 5th at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Mike Phillips officiating. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen for The Cure, P.O. Box 934048, Atlanta, GA 31193 or to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice Program, Gainesville, GA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. and 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
