Nancy Patterson Phillips passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 from Alzheimer's. She was predeceased by her two older sisters, Gertrude Granade and Gaynelle Brannon and by her niece Mary Philip, daughter of her twin sister Betty Ann Philip. Nancy was born in Atlanta in 1930, attended Girl's High School and graduated from Henry Grady High School. She graduated from Agnes Scott College in 1952, and from Woodrow Wilson Law School in 1955. She passed the BAR that same year and became a member of the Arnold and Harris law firm. She later joined the firm of Harris, Phillips, and Harris. She was a member of the Embroiders Guild of America and a member of the group selected to embroider dining room chair cushions in the Georgia Governor's Mansion. She is survived by her twin sister, Betty Ann Philip of Fairbanks, Alaska; her brother, Charles Gay Phillips of Marietta; two nieces, Martha Brzoza of Westminister, S.C. and Barbara Granade of Decatur, GA; six nephews, Bill Brannon of Tampa, FL, Jack Granade, Jr. of Petersburg, VA, Chuck Phillips of Lilburn, GA, Terry Brannon of Mableton, GA, John Phillips of Lilburn, GA, David Phillips of Austin, TX; two great nephews; several great nieces; and dear friends. A memorial service will be held at Westview Abbey on Saturday, December 11 at 1:00 with graveside services to follow at Westview Cemetery.
