Nancy Prante

Nancy Hunt Prante of Atlanta died on September 2, 2015, at the age of 80. Ms Prante was born in Hume, Illinois, in 1934. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur F. Prante, and her mother, Clella Hunt Prante. She is survived by her sister, Jane Prante (Carl) Heldmann; her brother, Paul Prante; her sister-in-law, Patricia Prante, four nieces, and one nephew. Nancy was a graduate of Butler University and was a popular radio personality in Mattoon, Illinois, during the 1950's. She then enjoyed a second career as a teacher. She moved to Atlanta and taught English, speech, and drama at Clarkston High School in DeKalb County. She was a beloved teacher and received numerous accolades including STAR teacher and Teacher of the Year. Ms. Prante's generous and loving spirit was exemplary and will continue to inspire her family and friends. In accordance with Nancy's wishes, a private family service is planned. A.S.
