Mrs. Nell Davis Marks, 84, of Thomaston and Decatur died Thursday, November 26, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin Marks and her son John Davis Marks. Mrs. Marks is survived by her daughter, Susan and son-in-law Michael Stewart of Thomaston; daughter-in-law, Carmencita Marks of Haywood, CA; sister, Emma Davis Bremer of Marietta; and many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Louis Miller officiating. Interment Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, P.O. Box 1510, Ranson, W. VA 25438 or the American Parkinson Disease Association, P.O. Box 49416, Atlanta, GA 30359 in her memory. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 1:00 PM Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
