Nellie Mae Gates

Mrs. Nellie Mae Gates of Decatur died Friday, April 22, 2005.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George V. Gates, Sr. & son, Charles Emory Gates.  She is survived by her sons, George V. Gates, Jr. & his wife Vanelle of Covington, Frank Gates of Conyers; daughters, Agnes Nell Ruckman and her husband Bill of Stockbridge, & Marie Evelyn Sammons & her husband Dean of Decatur; grandchildren, Randy Gates, Brian Gates, James Gates, Justin Gates, Sherri Robinson, Chad Gates, Holley Gates, Frank Gates, Jr., Kendra Gates, Corey Gates & Christopher Gates; & twelve great grandchildren.  Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Monday, April 25, 2005 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory with Dr. J. Hoffman Harris officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday and 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
