Nora Eloise Knight, age 95 of Decatur, Georgia, passed away December 26, 2008. She was born on November 19, 1913 to Aaron Thomas Chewning and Edna L. Leavell. She is preceded in death by her husband H. Clinton Knight, daughter Anne K. Yost and son-in-law John W. Yost; brothers Ralph Chewning, Doug Chewning, Parks Chewning and Alton Chewning; sisters Catherine Findley and Grace Cheek. She is survived by her son Ronald Clinton Knight and his wife JoAnna S. Knight; granddaughter Kim Yost Davis and husband Fuzzy Davis, of Hilton Head, S.C., grandson Rick Yost and wife Jill Yost, granddaughter Adrienne Knight Bedora and husband Chris Bedora, granddaughter Heather Knight Vanderhoek and husband Eric Vanderhoek of Clyo, Georgia; sisters Jeanette Ross, Edna New, Jeri Lord, June Armistead and Jean Blair, all of Atlanta; 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving caregivers, Sherry Smith, Catherine Crawford, Regeana Thompson and son Jonathan, and Virginia Morris. Eloise was a lifelong member of Rehoboth Baptist Church in Tucker, Georgia. Her life was her church and her family which she loved greatly. She was a loving and caring lady who will be sorely missed. Services will be held on Sunday, December 28th, 3:30 p.m., at Rehoboth Baptist Church, Tucker, Georgia. Burial will follow immediately at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Altus Healthcare and Hospice Inc., 1 Dunwoody Park, Suite 128, Atlanta, Georgia 30338. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 27th from 6:00p.m.to 8:00p.m. at A.S. Turner & Sons, 2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, Georgia 30033.
