Norma A. Dean

December 20, 1917 — November 2, 2007

Norma A. Dean of Atlanta died Friday, November 2, 2007.  Mrs. Dean was a salesperson for World Book Encyclopedia. She was a resident of the Clairmont Oaks Senior Living Center in Decatur where she was an active participant in the Vesper's Choir and Wednesday Bible Study.  She was an active member of Decatur First United Methodist Church and a member of the Paty Class.  She was also dedicated to the church's Cancer Sewing Ministry benefiting Hospice patients. She was a life member of the United Methodist Women.  Norma was the epitome of a generous Southern Lady who was truly loved by everyone who knew her. Survived by: Daughter, Joan Adams and her husband Mark of Norcross Historic; Granddaughters, Megan Johnson of Decatur and Paige Johnson of Atlanta; Step Daughter, Joanna Roberson of Montgomery; Step Sons, Joe Dean of Ellijay and Jack Dean, Jr. of Tyrone; Step Granddaughters, Jessica Harvey, Christy Comm and Katherine Nunez; Step Grandsons, David Roberson and John Roberson.  She has 5 Great Grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 5, 2007 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. David Naglee officiating.  Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL at 1:30 P.M. (CST). The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
