Norma Ann Phillips

Norma Ann Phillips, of Tucker, GA, a homemaker and part-time kindergarten teacher as well as a retired sales clerk from Rich's Department Store, born on February 11, 1933, was peacefully called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. The daughter of the late Alvin Gillespie Kennedy and Nora Sanders Kennedy, Norma Ann was a native of Nashville, TN but settled with her late husband and children in Atlanta, GA in 1956. Norma Ann filled her days with sewing, gardening and devoting great attention and love to her family. She was a member of Northlake Church of Christ, Tucker, GA and formerly of Campus Church of Christ, Lilburn, GA.

Her love, spirit and grace will remain alive in her family, leaving four beloved children, David E., Jr. of Lawrenceville, GA, James Alvin of Tucker, GA , Kimberly Ann Oliver of Johns Creek, GA and Steven Keith of Lawrenceville, GA. She also departs, in body but not in spirit her cherished grandchildren, Michael Phillips, Jason Phillips, Josh Phillips, Deborah Adams McAdams, David Phillips III, Josie Beth Phillips, James Paul Phillips, Chapman Phillips, Katie Coon, Payton Phillips, Ansley Phillips and Parker Phillips, along with seven great-grandchildren including Piper whom is due soon, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sister-in-law's, Nell Kennedy and Ruth Kennedy, both of Nashville, TN., numerous nieces and nephews residing in FL, SC, GA, and TN. She was preceded by her loving husband, David E. Phillips, Sr. (2000) and a son, Paul Wayne Phillips (1980).

Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2:00 PM at A.S. Turner Funeral Home in Decatur, GA. Northlake Church of Christ Minister Ike Reeser will officiate. A private burial will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens immediately following the service. The pallbearers will be grandchildren, Michael, James Paul, Josh, Chapman, Payton, and Parker.
