Norma Eloise (Summerour) Hardman, 88, of Tucker, Georgia, passed peacefully on September 11, 2018. The youngest of 7 sisters, Norma was born and raised in Decatur, Georgia, and graduated from Decatur Girls High School. She then attended Georgia State University, and became a secretary. Norma met the love of her life, Frank, at Atlanta First Methodist Church, and then married him in 1959. They were happily married for 34 years, and had their only child, Leisel. She was a loving and devoted mother, wife, and homemaker, as her family was the most important thing in her life. She was also active in her church. She loved waltzes, and even took piano lessons for a brief period because of her love of the music. Norma always had a positive attitude, and was grateful and appreciative of everyone and everything in her life. Even during her stay at the nursing home, she told her friends, family, and the staff how much she appreciated them.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Hardman; her 6 sisters: Nell Chapman, Anne Christensen, Inez Shaw, Nina Boothe, Lois Coursey, and Frances Conger; and her parents: James Washington Summerour and Berta Leona (Roberts) Summerour.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Leisel Hardman Davis, and many nieces and nephews.
