Octavia (Tay) Wilkins

Mrs. Octavia (Tay) Wilkins, 83, of Atlanta died Friday, June 17, 2005.  She was a native of Dillon, SC.  Mrs. Wilkins was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and worked as a claims adjuster for Liberty Mutual before her marriage.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Samuel A. Wilkins, Jr. She is survived by her children, Tay Wilkins and her husband Jim Moyer of Louisville, KY, Ms. Mary Craig Wilkins of Atlanta, GA, Dr. Martha Wilkins and her husband Christopher Rex of Atlanta, GA, Ms. Neal Wilkins of Weehawken, N.J., Sam A. Wilkins, III and his wife, Melissa Murphy of San Francisco, CA; and her brother, Dr. William H. Muller, Jr. and his wife Hillie of Charlottesville, VA. She was a wonderful grandmother to Kate Moyer (whom she will see in heaven), Karin Moyer, Caroline Rex, Christopher Rex, Sam Tarakajian, Cassie Tarakajian, Sarah Wilkins, Grace Wilkins, and Sam A. Wilkins, IV. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 20th at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Joanna Adams officiating.  Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, NC at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21st. Those desiring may send memorial contributions in her honor to The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra or to a charity of their choice.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at A. S.
