Oren Strawn

Mr. Oren Gattis Strawn of Atlanta died Wednesday, February 16, 2005. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and Korea. Mr. Strawn retired from Coronet Industries after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice G. Strawn. He is survived by his son, Richard Strawn and his wife, Carol of Atlanta; daughter-in-law, Shirley Joyce Strawn of Fernandina Beach, FL; brother, Joel Strawn and his wife, Jackie of Douglasville; sisters, Era Suddeth and her husband, Dewitt of Douglasville, Nelle Hallman of Augusta, Louise Terry of Atlanta, Betty E. Wadsworth of Douglasville, Joyce Harper and her husband, Gerald of Villa Rica; grandsons, John Daniel Strawn of Atlanta, Jeremiah Strawn, Jesse Strawn, Jacob Strawn, Joseph Strawn, all of Fernandina Beach, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. Jim Coldiron officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
