Otis Lee Childs Iii

January 24, 1955 — October 10, 2011

Otis Lee Childs III died on Monday, October 10, 2011 in Thomasville, GA. Born on January 24, 1955 in Decatur, GA, he was the son of the late Otis and Eloise Childs. He grew up in Decatur graduating from Decatur High School and then went on to graduate from the University of Georgia. He was an amazing dad to his three children and son-in-law, Paul and Emily Brinkley, Betsy Childs, and Clay Childs. He was also survived by his devoted sisters, Julie Childs and Melinda Childs. Lee loved watching and cheering on all sports, especially the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and any team that one of his children were a part of. Lee never met a stranger; he touched the lives of many people with his big heart and warm personality. He was a faithful man and saw life with the glass half-full.
