Mr. Owen Sidney Beckner, age 91, of Lithonia died Monday, June 8, 2009. He was born in Whitesburg, TN on May 21, 1918. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Wagner Beckner. Mr. Beckner is survived by his wife, Linda Eggers Beckner; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael W. and Loretta Beckner of Falls Church, VA, David S. and Cynde Beckner of Stone Mountain, GA; step children, David Wagner of Denver, CO and Diane Wagner May of Avondale Estates, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Gilbert Bailey of Bristol, TN; eight grandchildren; two great granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Avondale First Baptist Church, Saturday, June 13th, at 2 p.m., Rev. Clay Bowden officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to OTSAR at Avondale First Baptist Church, 47 Covington Rd., Avondale Estates, GA 30002.
