Pamelia Ann Shippey

November 20, 1938 — July 18, 2013

Pamelia Blackshear Shippey passed away July 18, 2013 after a brief illness. Mrs. Shippey was born November 20, 1938 in Dublin, GA. She graduated from Decatur High School and Georgia State College, where she was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. She owned and operated Custom Creations Florist for thirty year; where she specialized in wedding floral designs. She is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Charles Kenneth Shippey, Jr.; three children, daughter Janice Nixon of Hinesville, GA, son Charles Shippey (Karin) of Bradenton, FL, son Alan Shippey (Kelly) of Stone Mountain, GA and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother David Blackshear (Terry) of Molena, GA, sister Meg Shaw (Ron) of Tigard, OR and sister Lucy Luna of Warner Robins, GA. Arrangements are being handled by A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home with services scheduled for today at 3:00pm at Turner Chapel and interment following at Decatur Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
