Patricia Bentos Martin

Patty (Patricia) Bentos Martin, age 44, passed away on Wednesday April 5, 2017 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia after a long struggle with breast cancer. She was born July 19, 1972 in Montevideo, Uruguay to Hector and Raquel (Batailla) Bentos. She was a graduate of Oglethorpe University with a Bachelors degree in English. She married Carl M. Martin in August of 1999 in Roswell, Georgia. Together they had two children. She worked as an ESOL (English as a Second Language) teacher at the English for Internationals School in Alpharetta, Georgia. She loved teaching and enjoyed working with her students from many different countries. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Grant Henley Martin and Ally Rachel-Dian Martin. Her husband, Carl; her two children; a devoted sister, Rosalia Bentos; parents, Hector and Raquel; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members survive her. The family will receive friends at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home 2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, Georgia 30033 on Friday, April 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2 p. m. in the Chapel at A. S. Turner and Sons. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Garden 3000 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA.
