Patricia Estelle Scannell

Patricia Ross Scannell, 80, of Decatur, died peacefully at her home October 29, 2012. Born October 22, 1932 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, Mrs. Scannell was the daughter of Clemmie Tedder Ross and Don Ross. On June 26, 1955, Patricia married the love of her life, James Henry Scannell, who passed away in 1987. She worked all her life for the phone companies Southwestern Bell, ATandT and Bell South, from where she retired in 1987. Mrs. Scannell was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Stephen Scannell. She is survived by her daughter, Patty Scannell Beyer of Decatur; grandchildren, Christy Beyer, Robert Beyer, Zach Scannell and Morgan Scannell; sister, June Goetz of Ardmore OK. The funeral service for Patricia Scannell will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, November 2, 2012, in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons with Pastor Donna Cottrell officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 Thursday evening at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
