PATRICIA STANFIELD INGRAM
Patricia Stanfield Ingram of Lilburn, GA passed away on Friday June 5, 2015 at the home of her closest friend, Dianne Schread in Stone Mountain, GA after a two-and-a-half year battle with cancer. Mrs. Ingram was born on November 23, 1934 in LaGrange, GA. She was a 1953 graduate of LaGrange High School in LaGrange, GA; a 1957 graduate of Auburn University in Auburn, AL, and early on in her career she taught high school English. She later moved to Atlanta where she was a long-time employee of Arthur Andersen until she retired. She was an avid ballroom dancer and met James David Ingram, Sr. at one of those dances. They quickly became dance partners and a few years later became lifetime marriage partners. Mrs. Ingram lovingly cared for Mr. Ingram through his extended illness of Parkinson's Disease until his passing in 2009. After Mr. Ingram died, Mrs. Ingram focused on her passion for animal rescue and she leaves behind her beloved furry children: Millie, Jamie, Annie and Mandy Sue. Mrs. Ingram was a true friend in every sense of the word and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was kind, loving and generous to everyone, and she never met a stranger. Mrs. Ingram was cared for by Dianne Schread after each hospitalization for her cancer and chose to spend her last days and hours with the friend she loved like a sister. Mrs. Ingram is survived by two stepsons, James David Ingram, Jr. and his wife Linda of Kennesaw, GA, and Phillip K. Ingram of Decatur, GA. After many years of not knowing that she had any other family she discovered she had several cousins: Peggy Stanfield of Punta Gorda, FL, Carolyn Rudman of Titusville, FL, Steve Bain of Titusville, FL, Celia Coffey of Rock Springs, GA, Anita Gilreath of LaFayette, GA, James A. Greene of Pelham, GA, Keith Greene of LaFayette, GA, Gary Stanfield of LaFayette, GA, Jo Dell Oaks of Knoxville, TN and Jo Ann Lagesse of Fort Payne, AL. Special friends include Dianne Schread of Stone Mountain, GA, Bob and Norma Planner of Conyers, GA, and Dick and Mae Olson of Locust Grove, GA.
