Patricia Paulette Walshe

Patricia "Patti" Paulette Walshe of Tucker, GA died on March 20, 2017 at the age of 75.

Born in Washington, D.C. on October 3, 1941, Patti moved to Atlanta as a child. She graduated from Druid Hills High School and attended Mercer University where she majored in primary education and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She touched many lives as a 1st grade teacher for Dekalb County School System teaching at Midvale Elementary and Chapel Hill Elementary. She retired after 40 years in 2005. Patti was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi International and involved in the Women's Club and Thursday evening Bible study at Holy Cross Catholic Church. She was an original member of the Hebron Hills Swim Club where she spent most of her summer days before it closed. Patti loved to travel especially to her favorite beach, Siesta Key. She was most proud of her 14 grandchildren. They were her shining stars, her everything. She loved being "Grana" and her family will miss her so much.

Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Mike Walshe. Son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Suzanne Walshe of Watkinsville, GA (Bethany, Kelsey, Taylor and Matthew Walshe). Daughter and son-in-law, Paulette and Scott Taliaferro of Lilburn, GA (Taylor, Brendan, Colin, McKenzie, McKayla, Mac, Luke and Katherine Taliaferro). Son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Nancy Walshe of Lilburn, GA (Caroline and Thomas Walshe). She's also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Nancy Paulette of Atlanta, GA and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at A.S. Turner & Sons in Decatur on Thursday, March 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with the Rosary in the Chapel from 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 24 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Atlanta, GA with a reception to follow at the church.
Burial will follow the reception at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, GA. A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home & Crematory.
