Patricia Ann Rapp Yeager was born April 5, 1934 and died August 8, 2013. Patricia was born in Foley, Alabama, to Rudolph Rapp and Mildred Smith Rapp, and spent her youth in South Alabama. She graduated from Lanier High School in Montgomery and later from the University of Alabama. While at the university, she received a B.S. in Medical Technology and met her future husband, Howard. Pat worked at the Diagnostic and Medical Clinic in Mobile, before moving to Atlanta, where she began a long and distinguished career at the Centers for Disease Control. After retirement, she and her husband traveled extensively across the United States and Europe. Pat loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Howard J. Yeager; children, Elizabeth Y. Parrott, Robert L. Yeager and William H. Yeager; sister, Linda Miller; grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan and Justin Martin and Alexander Yeager; four great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, August 10, in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons. Interment will be held at a later date at Georgia National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pat Yeager may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. prior to the service at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
