The funeral for Paul H. Manuel, age 83, who passed away on November 5, 2005, will be conducted by Rev. Bill Bigger at Briarcliff Baptist Church at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 8. Mr. Manuel was a charter member, a Deacon, and a Sunday School teacher at Briarcliff. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. Mr. Manuel was involved in many civic organizations, served on the King's Bridge board for many years and was chairman. Paul graduated from Campbell University. He was a veteran of WW II, and served in the US 8th Army Air Corps in England for 2 ¢ years. Paul retired from BF Goodrich as the Southeastern Area Director after 40 years of service. Paul is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dot; sons, John and Steve and his wife, Susan. In addition, he has two grandsons, Robert and his wife, Patricia, William and his wife, Margaret; and two great grand children Briggs and Walker. Visitation is at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, 6-8pm, on Monday. The funeral will be at 11:00 on Tuesday, and a graveside service will be conducted in Thomasville, NC on Thursday.
