Paul Henry Wallace

Paul H. Wallace, 33rd degree Mason, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2009 peacefully in his sleep at his home. He had been under the tender care of Compassionate Care Hospice. Paul was born April 30, 1920 on Loomis Ave in Grant Park, and lived in same house until married. He is survived by his wife, of almost 60 years, Betty Lutz Wallace, of Cincinnati, OH; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Clarence Ybos of Bossier City, LA, Jennifer and Doug Trice of Loganville, GA; grandsons, Ryan and Kevin Currey of Shreveport, LA, Toby and Katherine Trice of Loganville, GA; granddaughter, Julie and Ben Tanner of Loganville, GA; great-granddaughter, Ava Tanner; brothers, Robert Wallace of Loxahatchee, FL, Lester H. and Mildred Wallace of Pennsicola, FL; cousins, nieces, nephews and many loving friends. He is preceded in death by sister, Elizabeth Wallace. Paul was a Graduate of Tech. High School and Georgia Tech, and retired as a Structural Engineer. He served in WWII in the Air Force and then in the Infantry and was stationed in France. He became a member of the Masonic Lodge in 1956, was a Scottish Rite Mason, and joined Yaarab Shrine Temple, was a well known Greeter for many years as a member of the Salamala Unit, and also served as President. He was very devoted to be associated with KCCH, and was honored to be recognized as a 33rd degree Mason. He attended the monthly meetings of the WWII Round Table, and was a Charter Member of the Embry Hills Republican Club. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 4th at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev.Jonathan Spencer officiating.  In Lieu of flowers donations to the Compassionate Care Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
