Paul L. Rippy

Mr. Paul L. Rippy, age 83, of Decatur, GA passed away Saturday, February 19, 2005 after a brief illness. He was born in Copperhill, Tennessee, spending his adult life in Atlanta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Olive Rippy. Paul was an insurance executive working with the Crum & Foster Insurance Companies. During World War II, he served his country in the Army Air Corp, flying missions out of Italy over Germany. Paul was active in his church, belonging to the Clairmont Hills Baptist Church in Decatur, GA. He loved to travel and frequently made trips to Florida and the southeast. A dedicated family man, Paul is survived by three sons, James P. Rippy of Alpharetta, Georgia, Daniel B. Rippy of Plano, Texas and Thomas A. Rippy of Covington, Georgia; brother, Byron Rippy of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, February 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, Georgia. A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Dr. Charles Knight will officiate the service. A. S. Turner & Sons
