Paul Nolan Welch Sr.
September 5, 1935 – July 20, 2016
Paul N. Welch Sr. 80, a long-time resident of the Northlake Community, passed away to be with the Lord Wednesday  the 20th of July.    He was born in Franklinton, LA to the late Nolan and Ouida Welch.   Paul had one sister.  Paul married Elaine Wilson Welch, on September 14th 1974.  They were married for 41 years.  He is survived by his wife Elaine Welch, son Paul Welch Jr. and wife to be Kristan Smith,  daughter Peggy Welch Bush and husband Ken Bush.  Seven Grandchildren,  Jason Welch, Jenny Welch, Lila Kate Bush, Kaleb Smith, Nolan Bush, Luke Bush, and Nathaniel Bush.  He is also survived by his sister Ouida Welch Gramlich and husband Richard Gramlich and their son Gregor  Gramlich and wife Debbie Gramlich and their seven children. 
He was preceded in death by his son Coleman Rickie Welch. 
Paul was a long time member of Rehoboth Baptist Church in Tucker.  He was retired from General Motors after 33 years of service,  and went on to work for Dekalb County Transportation and American Coach Lines for an additional 20 years.   He loved being with family, friends, and listening to gospel music.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Sunday July 24th at Rehoboth Baptist Church, 2997 Lawrenceville Highway,  Tucker for visitation at 5 followed by a Memorial Service at 5:30.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rehoboth Baptist Church.
