Mrs. Pauline Awbrey Brown Hicks, age 95, of Atlanta, passed away January 28, 2010. She was a member of Decatur First Baptist Church and the Interior Design Club of Atlanta. Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her husbands, William R. Brown, Clifford W. Hicks; daughter Mary Ellen Brown; and granddaughter, Beverly Ann Ranck. She is survived by her son, William W. Brown and daughter-in-law, Marge E. Brown of Tucker, GA; stepson, Mike Hicks of Texas, GA; four grandchildren, Robert Ranck of Houston, TX, Elizabeth Schaedler of Belleville, NJ, Glenn Brown of Charlotte, NC, Kenneth Brown of Buford, GA; eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Mona Gamble of LaGrange, GA, Hollis Crockett of Glenn, GA, Norma Golden of Cartersville, GA; many nieces, nephews; and devoted caregiver, Katie Garlington. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 1, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Neal Awbrey officiating. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Salvation Army. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
