Pauline Park of Lithonia quietly died of heart failure on Wednesday morning, August 17, 2005. These lines were taken from a poem written by her at an early age. She was of a poetic nature and left a collection of meaningful poems written by her. She would have been 90 in November. She was married to Warner Hill Park and they were a happy and active couple until Hill's death in 2001. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Adeline Park Andrews, her son-in-law, William R. Andrews; and a granddaughter, Jessica Adeline Andrews. Other survivors include two sisters, Mittie McDearis, Ruth Morris; one brother, George Morris; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was of strong faith and deep feeling. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church holding various offices, and in the Women of the Church beyond the local church level. She loved God, family, nature, and life. Her funeral will be Saturday morning at 11:00 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. The pastor, Rev. Arch Baker will officiate. Interment Macedonia Cemetery on Panola Road. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
