Pauline “Polly” Yancey, of Christian City in Union City, GA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 6, 2018.
Polly was married to her one true love, Howell Polk Yancey. They were devoted to each other until his passing in November, 1988, and the family rejoices as she joins him again. She is also preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Paula Y. McCurdy.
Survivors include her daughters, Carol McLeod (John) Jones and Linda Yancey Cook; grandchildren, Joshua (Leah) Cook, Heather McLeod, Charles Howell (Virginia) McCurdy, Mary Caitlin McCurdy; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Samuel and Lily Cook and Penny McCurdy, sisters-in-law, Elsie Lester, Gloria Pulliam and Rosemary Breedlove and many nieces and nephews.

At Polly’s request, she will have a visitation / celebration of her life at A.S. Turner Funeral Home on Monday, September 10 from 10:00 am to noon followed by a graveside service at Crestlawn Memorial Park at 1:30 pm, with Pastors Joshua Cook (grandson) and Steven Lester (nephew) officiating.
