Pearl Mutice Cowan

November 28, 1910 — October 31, 2004

Mrs. Pearl Mutice ?Mutt? Cowan of Stone Mountain, GA died Oct. 31, 2004.  She was a native of Atlanta and lived most of her life in DeKalb County.  She was a member of Clarkston Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.  Mrs. Cowan  helped her husband run Layfield Motors on Luckie Street as the office manager.  She was preceded in death in 2000 by her husband W. Hill Cowan.  She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Clint & Aida Cowan, Dunwoody, GA, Michael & Lana Cowan, Austin, TX; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and sister, Sara H. Banks.   In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions to Clarkston Baptist Church, 3895 Church St., Clarkston, GA 30021.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons.  Interment will be in Westview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
