Peggy Ann Logan
April 5, 1946 - January 29, 2025
Peggy Logan, 78, of Decatur, Georgia, passed away peacefully at Emory Decatur Hospital on January 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Peggy was born on April 5, 1946, in Omaha, NE, to Benjamin and Roma Rappley, and was the youngest of three daughters. She lived most of her life in Omaha, where she worked for many years as a housekeeper at Immanuel Medical Center. Known for her hard work, outspoken nature, and love for her family, Peggy was a beloved friend, mother, and grandmother.
Peggy moved to Decatur, Georgia in 2009 and lived at Philips Tower Senior Living until her passing. She was an active resident, prior to Covid, often going on outings and trips, serving in the dining room, and hosting piano and musical recitals for her fellow residents to enjoy the talents of her young grandchildren. She loved serving and being a part of the Philips Tower community where she had many friends.
Peggy loved to tell stories that she often took the liberty to embellish. She loved the rapper Ice Cube, and didn't care what anyone thought or said about it, most days dressed in one of her many T-shirts with his likeness on it. She even named her precious cat Ice Cube! She often remarked that her cat was the best gift she ever received, as he brought her great comfort and companionship during the last two years of her life. As much as she loved both Ice Cubes, she loved her family the most-particularly her grandchildren. She was proud of them in every way and loved spending time with them above all else.
Peggy is survived by her children, Dennis Howard, Roma Cammon, and Lauriette Frazier (Demetrius); nine grandchildren: Sunshyne, Benjamin, Ameenah, Abdullah, Morgan, Alia, Myles, Azzaam, Mara, and Marcus, and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Roma Rappley, her sisters Sharon Fleming and Karen Anderson, her granddaughter Jessie Howard, and great grandchildren Jasmeen and Jharrel Bahir.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Philips Tower in Decatur, GA. A brief reception will follow.
Peggy's legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
