Philip Craig Morgan

August 11, 1946 — November 13, 2005

Craig Morgan, 59, beloved husband and devoted friend, died unexpectedly of natural causes on November 13. Son of the late Laurece and Robert Morgan, he was born in Stillwater OK and graduated from Ringling School of Art, Sarasota FL. He met his wife-to-be, Janie Keller, in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution advertising art department where they both worked. Married in 1971, they were together for nearly 35 years. Well respected for his technical expertise, Craig worked as a graphic artist and freelanced for many years at a number of Atlanta advertising agencies. His love of animals and nature was reflected in the TLC he gave his pets, in his fondness for hiking and camping, and in his concern for the environment. A talented photographer, he was known for his out-going personality, distinctive laugh and mischievous humor. Craig is survived by his wife, Janie Morgan, his mother-in-law, Ruby Jones, and numerous cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 4 at 3:30 pm at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, 2773 N. Decatur Rd, Decatur. Rev. Laura Hutchinson, long-time family friend, will officiate. Visitation begins at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to PAWS Atlanta, 5287 Covington Hwy, Decatur 30035 or to the Sierra Club, 1401 Peachtree St,  Suite 345, Atlanta 30309.  A. S. Turner & Sons
