Philip E. Manners, 54, of Atlanta, died on March 20, 2007, surrounded by his children, Kelly L. Manners and Paul E. Manners, and other family members and friends. In addition to his children, he is survived by his parents, Paul E. and Joy Manners, his brother and sister-in-law, Neal and Linda Manners, his niece and nephews, Meredith M. Levens, Robert C. Manners and Jefferson N. Manners, and by Kella W. Barnett, mother of his children, and by his dog Roscoe. He was predeceased by his mother, Frances N. Manners. Philip was a graduate of Druid Hills High School (1970), Vanderbilt University (B.A., 1974), and Georgia State University (MBA, 1978). Philip was the Chairman and CEO of Paul Manners& Associates, Inc., an investment advisory firm. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of Stillman College, of Capital City Club, and Hebron Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, March 24, at A.S. Turner & Sons, 2773 N. Decatur Rd., Decatur, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Atlanta Humane Society, 981 Howell Mill Road, N.W., Atlanta, Georgia 30318, or the charity of your choice.
