On Monday, June 8th, 2020, Phillip L. Buice, loving husband and father of four, passed away at the age of 73. Phillip was born on September 30th, 1946 in Atlanta, GA. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and became a residential contractor in the Atlanta area following his service and return home.
Phillip was kind, gentle, hard-working and had many passions (including building, photography, nature and model trains). Most of all, he loved his family and cherished his time with them. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Culbertson Buice, his parents, Reverend Lester Buice and Louise Wilson Buice, and his sister, Nancy Buice.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Jenkins Buice of Tucker; his brother, Tim Buice (Vicki) of Stone Mountain; his four children, Leslie Buice Carpenter (Chris) of Lawrenceville, Susan Buice Walden (Edward) of Moultrie, Jason Hatfield (Jennifer) of Atlanta, and Holly Hatfield (Jody Rudin) of Brooklyn; and his nine grandchildren, Ryan Richardson (Tiffany), Brett Richardson, Amanda Walden, Hannah Walden, Kayla Hatfield, Jacob Walden, Garrett Hatfield, Crosby Hatfield-Rudin, and Desmond Hatfield-Rudin; and three great-grandchildren, Ryan Zorn, Emma Moore, and Xander Zorn
