Phillip Wayne Mitchell

Phillip Wayne Mitchell, age 75 of Decatur, GA passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Mitchell and Gertrude Cash Mitchell; brothers David Mitchell, Randall Mitchell and his wife Vickie Mitchell; and sister-in-law Patsy Jean Mitchell.

He is survived by his brothers Jerry Mitchell and Larry Mitchell; niece Alisha Mitchell; and nephews James Mitchell, Jason Mitchell and his wife Rachel, and Adam Mitchell and his wife Frankie; great-niece Kaylee Mitchell; and great-nephews David Mitchell, Zachary Mitchell, Mason Mitchell, and Asa Nasser.

Phillip was born and raised in DeKalb County in the Pea Ridge Community. He attended Rehoboth School and Towers High School. He loved to garden, fish, and tinker with motors.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will follow at Rehoboth Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
