Phyllis M. Millin, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014.. Phyllis was born to Charles Edward and Victoria Thurza Hussey on April 22, 1928 in the town of Yeovil, Somerset, England. Phyllis came to the United States as a war bride in 1946 and had resided in the Atlanta area ever since. Phyllis was a homemaker (a stay at home mom) and raised the family. The long battle with dementia has ended and Phyllis is now at rest and at peace. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 45 years, Tom, and their children, Katherine Ann (James M.) Barron, Rochina A. Millin, Sherry R. (Mike) Nabors, Anita L. (Philip) Reaka, Tommy W. McNeil, Kathryn A. (Milton) Threet, and Thomas M. Millin, 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Phyllis is at rest at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home,. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Phyllis's name to the Alzheimer's Association, or to a charity of your choice. A celebration of her life will take place in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons at 11:00 AM Monday, August 11. Burial services will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at 2:00PM. Hours of visitation will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Saturday and Sunday at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory 2773 North Decatur Rd., Decatur, GA
