Pilar M. Corral

Pilar Corral, 68, of Clarkston, GA passed away at his residence on Thursday August 23, 2018.

Pilar was a born in Carreras Durango, Mexico and moved to Los Angeles in his teens. He was preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe Corral and Magdelena Montenegro. His work, led him to Washington, DC. He was involved in the expansion of the metro transportation lines in DC. He was transferred to Atlanta and he worked on building the transportation system in Atlanta called Marta. He retired from working in maintenance with the DeKalb County School System.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jessica Corral Delacruz, Liah Marie Corral, former spouse, Luz Mary Corral; two brothers, Roman Corral and Heliodoro Coral.
Pilar was strong in body and spirit. He was extremely disciplined and fulfilled with his work.

It meant a lot to him to the point he never missed a single day of work with dozens of awards.

He was a hard working, self-made, self-reliant and a humble man. Pilar was known to be a stubborn risk taker and took cues from no one. He will be remembered as just that.

His services will be held Saturday August 25, 2018 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. The family will receive guest 2 hours prior to the services.
