Ping Lo Chung
1930-2017
Marietta – Ping Lo Chung was born on January 1, 1930. He passed away peacefully on May 8, 2017. He was born in Hunan Province, China to C.S. Chung and C.K. Chang.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Be Shiao Chung, three children: Andrew Chung (E-lee Chang), Bobby Chung (Irene Yan), and Dorothy Chung (Allen Mandir). His legacy includes three grandchildren: Celestin Chung, Marissa Mandir, and Neil Mandir.
Ping was in the Chinese navy and immigrated to the United States in 1960. He studied physics at Iowa State University, where he received his Ph.D. He then moved to Atlanta, where he was a physics professor with Morehouse College. Later, he ran a small business until he retired.
