Polly "Joann" Fain, age 90, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 22, 2020. Joann was born May 21, 1930 in Atlanta, Georgia. She married her fast friend and lifetime love of 62 years, Joe Wheeler Fain, who preceded her in death in 2010. Joann was an active member of Rehoboth Baptist Church for over 50 years and she was very involved in her children’s lives. She helped with the PTA, church fundraisers, church sports, and was always giving to others well before she ever took anything for herself. She had a strong Christian foundation that guided her through every day of her life. Her wit was quick, but always kind. She always saw the best in everything and was at the ready for a fun time with the family of staying up late watching movies, hours of playing rook, or doing craft projects of glue and glitter. She loved the mountains and loved the beach, but most of all, she dearly loved her family. Joann was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Leann and Glenn Goulding; son, Michael S. Fain; four granddaughters which were the light of her life, Erika Dunn and her husband, Kyle, Kelli Watling and her husband Ross, Alexandria Taylor and her husband Brian, Sydney Goulding; and 4 Great grandchildren. A family funeral service will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Larry Burgess officiating. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
