Rachel Anne Styles Brown, 55, of Atlanta, GA, passed away on September 26, 2016, of natural causes. Rachel was born on September 24, 1961 in Tachikwa, Japan, the daughter of the late Reverend James Styles and Reverend Betsy Styles. She graduated from Henderson High School in Atlanta, Georgia, earned her degree in nursing from Georgia State University, and served in the USAF Nursing Corp. Upon an honorable discharge, she went on to further her education and became a licensed litigation analyst. She was employed by various insurance organizations with in the greater Atlanta area. Rachel was a member of Tucker First UMC and enjoyed working with the prayer shawl ministry. Rachel is predeceased by her father, Reverend James Styles, and survivors include her mother, Reverend Betsy Styles; her brother, James Robert (Rob) Styles; her uncle, William A. Styles and his wife, Jo; cousin Ken Styles and his wife, Ann; and Elizabeth Styles Halatayi. Celebration of Life services will be on Monday, October 3, at 11 am at Tucker First United Methodist Church, Tucker, GA, with her body lying in state at 10:00 am. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 2 from 3-5 p.m. at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, Decatur, GA. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Rev. James Styles' Young Harris Scholarship Fund in Rachel's memory at Young Harris College, Young Harris, GA.
