Rachel Caroline Jacob

Rachel Caroline Jacob (Rae), 90 of Lawrenceville, GA passed from this world with Heaven gaining an Angel on October 20, 2021. Rachel was born on January 17, 1931, in Newark, NJ to Joseph and Elsie Testa.

She married Herbert C. Jacob in May 1950 and lived in Newark, Union and then Edison, NJ.

Employed by Prudential Insurance Company and then A&P Supermarkets, Rachel retired to Stone Mountain, GA in 1988 and then ultimately residing in Lawrenceville, GA. Having a gift for helping others, she volunteered her time caring for those suffering from AIDS at Jerusalem House in Atlanta, GA. Owning several West Highland White Terriers over the years, she especially cherished spending time with her ever faithful companion Devin.

Rachel was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Herbert C. Jacob and brother, Salvatore Testa. She is survived by her three sons, Thomas K. Jacob of Decatur GA; Robert K. Jacob and his husband Robert Murphy of Milford NJ; Eric K. Jacob and his wife Melanie of Williams Township PA and her beloved grandchildren Kelly and Christopher; nephew Joseph Testa MD and his wife Giovanna of Buffalo NY; niece Lucille Testa of Springfield NJ and close family friends Phillip Wolbrecht and Richard Smith of Atlanta GA.
