Ralph Emory Wilson, Sr.

Ralph Emory Wilson, Sr; 92, of Decatur, Rehoboth area, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday August 15, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He lived his entire life in the Rehoboth community. A longtime homebuilder in DeKalb County, he was an active member of Rehoboth Baptist Church for over sixty years. He enjoyed listening to southern gospel music, quail and fox hunting, fishing and riding his tractor. He was preceded in death by his loving and dedicated wife, Lucy Ann Hargrove and is survived by his four children, Ralph E. Teddy Wilson, Jr; and his wife Carolyn, Wayne Wilson and his wife, Allene, Sandra Allen and her husband, Charlie, Wendell Wilson and his wife, Pam. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Michelle Allen, Tammy and Joe Frazier, Wanda and Rilo Stephens, Bradley and Becky Allen, Kim and Greg Ewell, Todd and Alaina Wilson, Jeff and Dede Wilson, Stanley and Mimi Allen, Whitney Wilson and Luke Wilson. Furthermore he is survived by his seventeen great-grandchildren, Scott Frazier and his fiancée, Tori Wilson, Patrick and Stacey Stephens, Ryan Frazier, Elizabeth Stephens, Zack Frazier, Sarah Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Jessica Wilson, Jack Ewell, Brian Wilson, Savannah Allen, McKenzie Allen, Carson Ewell, Try Wilson, Bella Allen, Tabitha Allen and Emme Allen; sisters, Ina Greer, Mary Johnson and Earline Bridges; brother, Johnny Wilson. Funeral services for Mr. Wilson will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday August 18 at Rehoboth Baptist Church with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday August 17 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
