Ralph T. Bugg, 94, of Decatur, beloved husband and father, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016. Born October 11, 1922, in Notasulga, Alabama, he was the son of the late Thomas and Esperance Bugg. Ralph served his country during WWII, in the Pacific, with the 5th Army Airforce Division. Ralph was a Free-lance writer, a former Night City Editor for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, a Journalist for other newspapers and taught Journalism at Birmingham Southern College and Georgia State University.
Ralph is survived by his two daughters, Barbara Bugg and Jennifer Buechner; son, Larry Bugg; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and many more loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Bugg; son, Randy Bugg; .
A celebration of Ralph's life will be held at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 2pm. The family will receive friends in the Church Parlor following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church's Family Camping Program. He and Jo were known for leading and fostering Church Family Camping Programs.
