Becky Kidd, 58, passed away on November 28, 2018. She was born November 11, 1960 in Phoenix, Arizona to Bill and Susan Corbin. She attended Douglas County High School in Castle Rock, Colorado where she first developed her love for the theater. She attended the University of Oregon and USC. Becky was married to Bryan Kidd. They have one son, Will Riley.
Along with her career at H-P, Becky was active volunteer with numerous organizations. She was an active marathon runner. She advocated for those battling ALS, including herself. Her team “5 Smooth Stones” participated in the annual ALS walk. She received the ALS “Hero’s Award” in 2016 presented by the honorable Andrew Young; participated in ALS clinical trials at Emory; and lobbied for “right to try.”
Becky will be remembered for her courage, consideration, and graciousness. Her faith in Christ enabled her to persevere and encourage others even in her trials. Becky was fiercely loyal to her family and many friends. Her sense of humor was well known, as were her “amazing” driving skills.
A celebration of Becky's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 8, at Decatur First Christian Church with Reverend James Brewer-Calvert officiating. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorials in her name to the Emory ALS Center or ALS Association of Georgia.
Feel free to leave the family your condolences via the guestbook provided.
